On this episode of DLEW, I talk with Jonalyn Saxer of Mean Girls on Broadway.
Jonalyn has worked on 5 Broadway shows, and she’s learned the same lesson throughout all of her experiences. Making it in this business is all about two things: caring about the work, and doing the work.
Jonalyn Saxer was born in Southern California, and got her BFA in Musical Theater at Syracuse University. Since graduating, she has performed on Broadway in Bullets Over Broadway, Honeymoon in Vegas, Holiday Inn, Cats, and is currently performing in the new musical Mean Girls opening April 8th. She has been involved in the world premier productions of Gotta Dance, and Moonshine: That Hee-Haw musical, as well as performing regionally at theaters like The Muny, Pitttsburgh CLO, Maine State Music Theater, and Merry-Go-Round Playhouse. While in New York she has also been a part of many new musical Labs and readings. She is based in NYC where she lives with her dog Penelope.
